Felix Pie doubled to lead off the 12th inning, and the Orioles loaded the bases with two outs on an intentional walk to Adam Jones – which brought former Oriole Chris Ray into the game – and J.J. Hardy’s two-out infield hit.

Hardy has a home run, three singles and a walk. The four hits ties a career high – it’s the eighth time he’s done it – and his average has jumped from .200 to .350.

Brian Roberts struck out on three pitches to end the rally and take us into the 13th.

Mark Reynolds struck out after Matt Wieters flied out. He’s 0-for-6 and has stranded seven runners. His average is down to .177.

Now the Orioles are down, 6-5.

Jack Wilson led off the 13th with a double off Jeremy Accardo, and he scored on Mike Wilson’s looping single to left. The ball deflected off Hardy’s glove as he reached over his head.

That’s the first major league hit for Mike Wilson. Nice timing.

The Orioles have left 14 runners on base.

Third base umpire Joe West left the ballpark because he was having stomach issues and there were concerns about him becoming dehydrated.

Instant update: Felix Pie collected his second hit since entering the game, a chopper that got past second baseman Jack Wilson and scored Nick Markakis to tie the game, 6-6. Jake Fox was thrown out at the plate on Adam Jones’ sharp grounder to short, but Matt Wieters singled to score Pie and end this crazy marathon.

Orioles 7, Mariners 6.
