CITY CONNECT FRIDAY
City Connect Fridays are dedicated to Harlem Park Elementary Middle School. As part of the Orioles’ Adopt-A-School campaign, Harlem Park students and staff will attend batting practice and participate in pregame ceremonies, including yelling the ceremonial “play ball.” Tickets for students and faculty attending City Connect Fridays are provided by Wegmans, the exclusive grocery retail partner of the Adopt-A-School Program at Harlem Park Elementary Middle School.
CHECK PRESENTATION: Maryland Gold Star Mothers
As a thank you for their honor and sacrifices to our country, the Orioles Charitable Foundation on behalf of Major League Baseball and their “Military Community Grants” program will donate $15,000 to MARYLAND GOLD STAR MOTHERS, a non-profit organization that aims to create a community of mothers of fallen soldiers and keep their children's memory alive by helping veterans, those currently serving in the military, their families, and the community.
FIRST PITCH: Buzz Williams
WILLIAMS, the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Maryland, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. A two-time Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year (2022-23 and 2019-20), Williams was named the head men's basketball coach at Maryland this past April after spending seven seasons at Texas A&M University, where he led the Aggies to the NCAA tournament in each of the last three seasons. Williams will be joined on the field by members of the UMD Men’s Basketball team and will join students from Harlem Park Elementary Middle School in yelling the ceremonial “Play Ball.”
NIKE RBI REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
The Orioles Junior and Senior Nike RBI supported by Giant Food tournament teams will travel to Durham, N.C., to participate in the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, with the winner of the tournament traveling to Vero Beach, Fla. for the Nike RBI World Series.
ALUMNI AUTOGRAPHS: Chad Bradford, Scott McGregor, and Aaron Rakers
O’s alumni BRADFORD, McGREGOR, and RAKERS will be on Eutaw Street near the New Era cap store from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to sign autographs for fans, free of cost.

NIKE RBI, SUPPORTED BY GIANT FOOD, SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Members of the Orioles Nike RBI Softball 14U and 18U teams face off in their respective championship games, which will be held at Coppin State University. The winners of the tournament-style bracket will receive custom banners to display at their home fields.
MARYLAND TEACHER OF THE YEAR RECOGNITION
The Orioles will recognize the 2025 Maryland Teacher of the Year nominees as part of a special pregame ceremony. The Maryland Teacher of the Year program is the state’s premier teacher recognition program, representing each of the 24 local school systems throughout the state. The 2025 Maryland Teacher of the Year winner will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.
FIRST PITCH: Kat Locke-Jones
LOCKE-JONES, the 2025 Maryland Teacher of the Year, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. A seventh-grade English Language Arts Teacher at Hampstead Hill Academy, Locke-Jones is also the co-founder of foundations, “SL24: UnLocke the Light” and “Sean’s House,” both which aim to connect youth to specialized resources and support students through a wide variety of mental health challenges.

BUILD-A-BEAR WORKSHOP DAY WITH THE MORTONS
Orioles pitcher CHARLIE MORTON and his wife, Cindy, will sponsor guests from the BELIEVE IN TOMORROW CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION so they can enjoy a private Build-A-Bear Workshop experience in a catered suite at the ballpark. Bearemy, the Build-A-Bear mascot, the Oriole Bird, and members from the Orioles Family Program will also be in attendance. The Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation provides high quality hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families.
MILITARY SUITES, presented by RBR-Technologies: The Mission Continues – Baltimore Platoon
As a thank you for their service, the Orioles will host members from THE MISSION CONTINUES – BALTIMORE PLATOON at the ballpark for a one-of-a-kind experience. The organization connects veterans with under-resourced communities to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more.

ULLMAN, a four-time international whistling champion and member of the Whistlers Hall of Fame, will whistle his rendition of the national anthem prior to the game. Ullmann will also whistle “God Bless America” during the seventh inning stretch.

MO GABA DAY
The Orioles will host their fourth annual “MO GABA DAY,” celebrating the life and legacy of Orioles Hall of Famer MO GABA on the anniversary of his passing. As part of the celebration, the Orioles will recognize the 2025 Mo Gaba Positivity and Perseverance Award winners and the Mo Gaba Legacy Award winner as part of a special pregame ceremony. The winners will receive a copy of “Mommy I’m The Only One,” written by Renee Creese. The book was inspired by her daughter, Riley, a recipient of the 2024 Mo Gaba Positivity and Perseverance Award. All sales from the Orioles Authentics store on Eutaw Street during the game will benefit the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, where Mo received treatment.

In honor of “MO GABA DAY,” the Orioles will be inviting patients and their family members along with staff from the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center to the game. Founded in 1912, the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center’s mission is to provide patient- and family-centered health in a diverse and inclusive environment while also being a leader in innovative research that leads to prevention and effective treatment of childhood diseases.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO, presented by BGE: Janiah Fields
The Orioles will recognize FIELDS, a Baltimore native and senior at McDaniel College, as their Birdland Community Hero. A member of the President’s Advisory Council of Students and the acting president of the Psychology Honors Society, Fields serves as a mentor and leader for first-year students transitioning from Baltimore City Public Schools through the college’s EDGE mentor program. She also works with the Healing Youth Alliance, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and the Black Mental Health Alliance. At 19 years old, she was invited to the White House for the release of the 2024 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and Federal Action Plan for recognition of work to raise awareness about Black youth suicide and the importance of addressing race in mental health initiatives. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will also be making a donation to a non-profit of Janiah’s choosing.
