Who’s ready for another roster move?
Outfielder Henry Urrutia will be recalled today after spending yesterday on the taxi squad. A spot must be created for him.
Junior Lake, who doubled in six at-bats last night and is 2-for-14, has a minor league option, but it doesn’t guarantee his removal. It’s just an easier avenue to take if the Orioles choose it.

Plenty of guys are slumping.
Jimmy Paredes struck out in both at-bats last night after pinch-hitting for Nolan Reimold, who was 2-for-4. Paredes is 3-for-32 with 14 strikeouts this month.
“We all know what Jimmy is capable of,” said manager Buck Showalter. “Trying to keep him positive and get something going because it’s been a tough stretch for him. I think we all know that.
“Nobody internalizes it and wears it on their sleeve at the same time as much as Jimmy does. He wants to win as much as anyone. He’s sitting out there in the clubhouse now the happiest guy in the world because the Orioles won. But he knows he’s capable of doing better and we’re at a time in the year where he’s going to have to do better.”
I forgot to mention yesterday that Triple-A Norfolk pitcher Matt Buschmann, acquired this week from the Reds for cash considerations, left his start Thursday night after three innings due to a sore right shoulder.
Tides manager Ron Johnson won his 285th game last night to set the franchise record.
ESPN Stats & Info passed along the following:
Most Consecutive 20-home run seasons in Orioles history:
Cal Ripken Jr. – 10
Eddie Murray – nine
Adam Jones – five
Boog Powell – five
Rafael Palmeiro – five
Zach Britton had converted 24 saves in a row before last night. The Orioles have two walk-off home runs after his two blown saves, the other coming from David Lough, who was designated for assignment yesterday.
Brad Brach has a 0.91 ERA in his last 22 games and 29 2/3 innings.
Manny Machado is batting .348/.388/.522 in his last 10 games.
Jones has 15 RBIs in his last 14 games.
Chris Davis has hit 85 home runs at Camden Yards to tie Ripken for fifth place.
The Orioles won’t have to wait to learn the identity of tonight’s Oakland starter. It’s right-hander Chris Bassitt, who shut them out on five hits over seven innings on Aug. 4.
The Athletics didn’t announce last night’s starter until after 3 p.m., but Showalter said the Orioles knew the previous day and were able to prepare for left-hander Brad Mills.
Bassitt has allowed three earned runs or fewer in all 12 starts this season. Left-handers are batting .184 against him, compared to the .247 average compiled by right-handers.
Bassitt has faced the Orioles only once, and never at Camden Yards. Jonathan Schoop went 2-for-3 with a double against him, Machado and Gerardo Parra were 1-for-3 and Davis was 1-for-2 with a double and walk.
Miguel Gonzalez hasn’t gone more than 5 1/3 innings in eight of his last 10 starts, and his ERA has risen from 3.33 on June 9 to 4.45 going into tonight. He allowed three runs and five hits in 5 1/3 innings in his Aug. 4 start in Oakland.
Gonzalez is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three career games (two starts) against the Athletics. The current group is 11-for-64 (.172) against him.
Brett Lawrie is 3-for-20 with a triple, Billy Butler is 2-for-13 with two doubles and Coco Crisp is 3-for-5 with two doubles.
