In tonight’s start, the first five White Sox’s batters strung together a single, home run, double, double and double.

So much for building momentum.

Tillman was down 4-0 before recording his first out on his 20th pitch of the inning, getting a ground ball from Alex Rios that was met with a sarcastic ovation from fans.

Tillman threw 32 pitches, 22 for strikes. Brad Bergesen was warming in the bullpen.

Alexei Ramirez’s two-run homer put the White Sox on the board, and Carlos Quentin and A.J. Pierzynski had RBI doubles.

The last Orioles starter who didn’t record an out? Kurt Birkins in Sept. 2007.

Tillman was able to avoid that list, but he’s dug a deep hole for the Orioles.

Now for the good news: They served tacos in the press lounge.

Update: Tillman was removed after 2 2/3 innings and with six runs on the board. He allowed eight hits, walked three and struck out three. He threw 77 pitches, 47 for strikes.

The last two runs scored on Juan Pierre’s single down the first base line. Chris Davis deflected the ball and ran into umpire Phil Cuzzi.

Brent Morel scored from second base to give Chicago a 6-0 lead. He was in scoring position after a two-out single because Nick Markakis tried to cut down Adam Dunn at third base. Bad decision.
