Update: Jeremy Guthrie is shutting out the Rays on three hits over eight innings. The last Orioles starter to throw eight or more scoreless innings on opening day/night was Rick Sutcliffe in 1992. He tossed a complete-game shutout in the first game at Camden Yards.
Guthrie has thrown 94 pitches and Jim Johnson is warming in the bullpen.
Update II: Ben Zobrist greeted Johnson with a home run on the first pitch. Orioles 4, Rays 1.
