There have been a few moves today on the farm.
Triple-A Norfolk: Kam Mickolio officially sent to the Orioles. Also today, RHP Dennis Sarfate has been placed on the DL. As Roch first reported yesterday, he suffered a strained oblique Wednesday while warming up. Sarfate had pitched three scoreless innings with five strikeouts for the Tides. Norfolk has added pitchers Jim Miller and Armando Gabino from Bowie.
Double A Bowie: Added pitcher Zach Clark from Aberdeen’s roster.

Single A Frederick: Placed pitcher Oliver Drake on the DL with a shoulder injury, retroactive to Tuesday. Added pitcher Bret Bordes from the Aberdeen roster.
Drake felt some discomfort in his right shoulder when he started Tuesday’s game. He left that outing after 2 2/3 innings. He has pitched 3 2/3 scoreless on the year.
Some minor league notes:
Norfolk’s Rhyne Hughes has a six-game hitting streak and is 8 for 21 with a homer during the stretch. Alfredo Simon pitches tonight at Durham. Chris Tillman is 22 today and Michael Aubrey turns 28.
Bowie is 6-1 and off to its best start since 1997. Chorye Spoone pitches tonight as the Baysox begin a road trip at Akron. Bowie pitching allowed just three runs in its three-game sweep of Harrisburg. Zach Britton’s next start is Sunday at Akron.
Frederick has won four in a row and will host Myrtle Beach tonight. Frederick has not had a five-game win streak since August of 2006. The Keys have scored 28 runs during the win streak and outscored opponents, 32 to 13 on the season. Frederick has not been scored on from the seventh inning on.
Matt Hobgood pitches for Delmarva tonight at Greensboro as the Shorebirds look for their 1,000th all time win. The Birds are averaging 7.1 runs per game. They have more extra-base hits, 39, than singles with 37. Steven Bumbry is 8 for 21 during a five-game hit streak and Garabez Rosa is 7 for 12 during a three-game batting streak.
