RHP Jeremy Guthrie (9-12, 5.26) tonight is set to make his 27th start of this season, his 14th at home and the 10th of his career vs. the Yankees.
Guthrie is trying to do something tonight he has not done all year – win three starts in a row.
Over his last two starts, vs. Chicago and Minnesota, Guthrie is 2-0, 1.29. He has won back-to-back starts three times this year.

LHP Andy Pettitte (11-6, 4.18) tonight makes his 27th start of this season, his 13th on the road and the 37th in his career vs. the Orioles.
Pettitte has an amazing 25-6, 3.65 record in 36 career starts vs. the Orioles.
He’s pitching well recently for New York and has not taken a loss since July 25 vs. Oakland. Over his last six starts, he is 3-0, 2.61.
In eight second-half starts, he is 3-1, 2.79.
The Yankees are 18-8 with five wins in a row when Pettitte starts. In his 12 road starts this year, the 37-year-old lefty is 6-2, 3.58.
