This is just the second time on the year the Orioles were swept in a three-game series, and they fall to 42-34. The Orioles were also swept, three in a row, by Tampa Bay on May 17-19.

Toronto matched a club record by winning its 11th straight game. The Blue Jays, who are 6-4 against the Orioles, have won 15 of the last 18 to get to 38-36 for the season.

The Orioles go 2-4 on this trip for their first losing road trip of the season. The O’s are 2-5 at Toronto this season and 11-39 there since June 8, 2008.

Garcia went just 2 1/3, allowing seven hits and seven runs. He threw just 61 pitches, and falls to 3-5 with an ERA of 5.77. Toronto scored once in the first and three times in the second and knocked him out during a five-run last of the third.

Garcia has pitched 16 2/3 over his last four starts, allowing 28 hits, 20 runs and nine home runs. That is an ERA of 10.80 in that stretch. Garcia allowed a season high with the seven runs today, but has given up five or more in three of his last four starts.

Down 9-0, the O’s scored twice in the sixth and seventh. Nick Markakis had an RBI double, and a groundball by Chris Davis that was scored an error produced the first baseman’s 70th RBI of the season. Ryan Flaherty hit a two-run homer, his fourth of the season, in the seventh. Flaherty added a solo homer in the ninth for a two-homer day.

Manny Machado added a two-hit game, which included his major league-leading 34th double. It was his 32nd multi-hit game, which also leads the majors.

But any thoughts a huge comeback ended when the Blue Jays scored four in the seventh in an inning that featured a Jose Baustista three-run double off Pedro Strop. Baustista and Edwin Encarnacion combined to produce seven RBIs.

Now, the Orioles return home to begin a seven-game homestand against Cleveland on Monday night when Zach Britton (1-1, 5.56 ERA) pitches against right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez (5-4, 4.66 ERA).
