The O’s have been out-scored 35-11 during their five-game losing streak. Over the past three games, the Orioles pitching has given up 29 runs, including seven homers, on 44 hits.

Toronto won the series opener 9-2 Monday as David Purcey gave up just one run over 7 2/3 innings. Chris Tillman took the loss and Felix Pie knocked in both O’s runs.

That win snapped the Jays four-game losing streak. They had scored nine total runs during the four games.

The Orioles’ bullpen has allowed 11ER and 21 hits with seven homers in 12 innings over the past three games.

The O’s are 20-43 this year vs. the AL East:

The O’s are 6-24 on the road vs. the AL East and are 4-7 in the last 11 games vs. a division opponent.

The Birds have fallen 30 games under the .500 mark for the first time since the 2001 season.

Toronto is now 39-36 at home, 21-43 vs. the AL East and 8-13 in September.

The O’s are 6-7 this year vs. Toronto as they look to win the season series for the first time since 2004. The O’s are just 1-6 this year at Rogers Centre.
