Jim Johnson’s condition has improved, and he could be released from the hospital later tonight or, more likely, tomorrow morning.
Johnson will attempt to eat today. If he can hold down his food, his chances increase of being sent home.
Manager Buck Showalter doesn’t know whether Johnson would be available to pitch tomorrow night if he returns to Camden Yards.

Tsuyoshi Wada will fly into Los Angeles on Sunday and have his left elbow examined the following day by renowned orthopedist Dr. Lewis Yocum. Wada told reporters that Tommy John surgery is a possibility, so yes, the MRA must have revealed a tear in his ligament.
Robert Andino’s flight into Baltimore is scheduled to land at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, so he could come off the paternity list in time for the series opener against the Oakland Athletics.
Catcher Taylor Teagarden will receive his third epidural injection in his back on Monday. Teagarden could be facing surgery if the shot doesn’t alleviate the discomfort, since a fourth epidural isn’t allowed.
Zach Britton will throw off a mound tomorrow morning at the minor league complex in Sarasota.
Luis Ayala will have a wisdom tooth removed during next Thursday’s off day.
Pedro Strop probably isn’t available to pitch tonight after saving the last two games and working two innings on Sunday. Showalter will need to come up with another closer if the Orioles take a slim lead into the ninth inning.
Four of the starting pitchers participated in bunting drills today in preparation for interleague play. Brian Matusz was excluded because he’s starting tonight.
