Team orthopedist Dr. John Wilckens is here to examine reliever Koji Uehara’s right elbow.
Uehara isn’t available again today, and the club could choose to put him on the disabled list tomorrow or before Tuesday’s game against Oakland at Camden Yards. He’ll be re-examined in Baltimore, but he apparently is dealing with a sprained ligament.
This is the same elbow that forced Uehara on the disabled list on June 24. He later was diagnosed with a partially torn flexor tendon.

We can speculate on the corresponding roster move, but I’ll tell you that manager Dave Trembley doesn’t want another one-inning reliever. One consideration is moving David Hernandez to the bullpen and bringing up a starter – either Chris Tillman or Jake Arrieta – from Triple-A Norfolk.
The Orioles don’t have a long man today. Jason Berken might be available, but he can’t go very far after throwing 75 pitches on Thursday. Mark Hendrickson won’t leave the bullpen.
Kevin Millwood really needs to give the Orioles innings today.
The tarp’s off the field and the game is expected to start on time, but periods of rain are forecast throughout the day.
