Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga loses a perfect game last night, and the Orioles just seem lost.
At least Galarraga can blame an umpire.
The Orioles decided to skip the late-inning drama and second-guessing by dismissing themselves from last night’s game at the first bell.
They can’t score runs and they’ve got CC Sabathia waiting for them. They can’t score runs for Kevin Millwood, who starts today, and they’ve got CC Sabathia waiting for them.
Is a loss inevitable? Yeah, it sure…Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga loses a perfect game last night, and the Orioles just seem lost.

Is a loss inevitable? Yeah, it sure feels that way.
They’re braced for the sweep and a trip back to Baltimore that will feel five-times longer than it should. Dave Trembley could be managing his last game. We don’t know, but nothing has happened to quiet the speculation.
If you’ve been missing Garrett Atkins, he’s 7-for-11 with two RBIs and two walks lifetime against Sabathia. He’s got to be in today’s lineup.
Miguel Tejada is 13-for-38 with three doubles, two homers and five RBIs.
Cesar Izturis is 4-for-22. Guess he won’t be batting cleanup.
Nolan Reimold is 6-for-14 with two doubles and an RBI, which does the Orioles no good.
It would be nice if the Orioles could do something good today, but they’ve got CC Sabathia waiting for them, in case you didn’t know. He’s 11-1 with a 2.52 ERA in 16 career starts against them.
Inevitable.
