Orioles manager Buck Showalter will post today’s lineup after batting practice. He wants to check on third baseman Manny Machado, who’s going to hit, throw and run.
The club is carrying three catchers for now, with Caleb Joseph starting today. A corresponding roster move for new catcher Nick Hundley will be announced after batting practice.
An infielder will most likely be optioned if Machado is able to play. Could Steve Lombardozzi return to Triple-A Norfolk? Stay tuned.

Reliever Preston Guilmet has been activated from the taxi squad to replace Davis.
Johan Santana’s last extended spring training start is scheduled for Tuesday.
Orioles right-hander Miguel Gonzalez has made three career appearances against the Indians, including two starts, going 2-0 with a 3.06 ERA in 17 2/3 innings. He’s 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA in 13 1/3 innings as a starter.
Lonnie Chisenhall is 6-for-12 with three doubles, a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored in this series. Gonzalez may want to pitch him carefully, especially since Chisenhall is 2-for-3 with a double and home run against him.
Trevor Bauer has made two starts for the Indians this season, allowing three earned runs, walking five and striking out 13 in 12 innings. His fastball has been clocked at 100 mph.
Bauer has never faced the Orioles.
