Wednesday, Feb. 4, midnight, 12:30 p.m.: Can’t sleep? Watch the first game played at Oriole Park at Camden Yards! The home of the Orioles opened its doors for its first official game on April 6, 1992. The Orioles beat the Indians 2-0 to officially christen their new home with a win. Chris Hoiles and Billy Ripken drove in back-to-back runs in the fifth inning, while Rick Sutcliffe pitched a complete-game shutout. At 12:30 p.m., catch opening day from 2003, otherwise known as “the snow game.” On March 31, 2003, the Orioles and Indians played through a 13-minute snow delay and 13 innings before Gary Matthews Jr. hit a walk-off single to give the Birds a 6-5 win.
