Manager Buck Showalter told reporters that Nolan Reimold will move his rehab program to Jacksonville, where he can be closer to his family. He’s been rehabbing for a few weeks, and Showalter said he’s looking forward to having Reimold healthy next spring.
Jason Hammel is “very close” to beginning baseball activities, according to Showalter. Hammel is expected to return in early September, “or a tad before it,” Showalter said.
Robert Andino will be in the starting lineup Friday night at Tropicana Field.
