Wieters, who came off the disabled list Sunday, hit a two-run shot in the 6th and a solo blast in the 8th. He went 2 for 2 with a pair of walks and is now 10 for 24 with five extra-base hits and 6 RBI during a seven-game batting streak.

But Brad Bergesen was hit hard again as he lost for the fifth start in a row. Bergesen allowed 10 hits and 8 runs (all earned) over five innings. He gave up three homers in falling to 3-9, 6.95.

Bergesen is 0-2, 7.68 in three starts this year vs. Toronto.

Luke Scott, today named the latest AL player of the week, continued his hot hitting with a two-run homer. He has homered five times over the last seven games.

In eight games since coming off the DL, Scott is 14 for 31 (.452) with five homers and 10 RBI. He now has an 11-game hitting streak.

Jose Bautista, Adam Lind and Aaron Hill all homered for Toronto which has out-homered the Orioles 21-4 this season.

The O’s fall to 13-35 in road games, 10-33 vs. the AL East and 31-68 on the season. This was game one of a seven-game road trip.

Tuesday night at Toronto, it’s Kevin Millwood (2-9, 5.84) vs. Ricky Romero (7-7, 3.52).
