Steve Melewski and yours truly will be hosting another in our series of baseball chats that evening, from 6-7 p.m. At 7 p.m., we’ll tune Hightopps’ many televisions to the O’s game in St. Petersburg, Fla., against the Rays on MASN. What better way to celebrate the start of a new baseball season than being surrounded by other O’s fans, munching on taste vittles and quaffing your favorite frosty beverage?
If you haven’t had a chance to partake of our Hightopps baseball chats, it’s a great way to convene with other baseball nuts. We’ll answer your questions about the Orioles, maybe make a couple of predictions about the 2011 season, ask some trivia questions and give away some prizes.
The most coveted giveaway, of course, will be a pair of tickets to the April 4 home opener against the Detroit Tigers at 3:05 p.m. We’ve been trying to come up with tickets for the opener for weeks; they’re becoming quite hard to get, even here in the warehouse. Yes, there’s that much excitement about the start of the O’s season.
But we’ll have a pair to give away Friday night, so join us to talk – and watch – baseball.
Hightopps Backstage Grille is located at 2306 York Road, just north of the Timonium Fairgrounds. There will be drink specials, tasty food, more TVs than you can shake a Louisville Slugger at and a family-friendly atmosphere in the room where we’re gathering.
Hope to see you there!
