Well, that was one frustrating loss.
The Orioles got a sixth straight quality start but not a sixth straight win, losing 3-1 to Cleveland as they missed a chance to record their first four-game sweep there since September of 1971.
Justin Masterson gave up one run and seven hits over 7 1/3 innings to get his seventh win. The Orioles had eight hits overall but went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.

Tommy Hunter gave the club his second straight solid start, but took the loss, despite allowing just three runs and eight hits over seven innings. Hunter falls to 4-5.
The Orioles’ starters have an ERA of 2.21 over the last six games.
Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run homer off Hunter in the third, and Michael Brantley added an RBI single in the eight for the Tribe. Omar Quintanilla, making his first O’s start, doubled in the only Orioles’ run in the top of the fifth.
Nick Markakis was cut down in a rundown between the plate and third base in the eighth. At the time, he was the tie run with the O’s down 2-1. However, he either ran through a stop sign or there was some miscommunication, but he never made it to the plate, and the out was recorded.
So the Orioles go 5-3 on this road trip and come home with a record of 51-45 to face Tampa Bay and Oakland.
