This time there was not a well pitched game by an O’s starter and this time there was not a comeback win.
The O’s opened their longest home stand of the season, a ten gamer, with a 4-2 loss to Toronto on Friday night at the Yard.
Losing pitcher Brad Bergesen, now 3-7, 6.37, gave up single runs over the first three frames and gave up four runs in six innings on the night.

Winning pitcher Ricky Romero retired the first 12 batters he faced on just 42 pitches, before the O’s picked up two unearned runs in the fifth.
The O’s left two men on in both the seventh and eighth innings as their four-game win streak ended.
The O’s are 0-7 on the year vs. Toronto and have been outscored 35 to 13. This is the first time the Jays have ever won their first seven games in a year vs. the O’s.
Saturday night at 7:05, in game two of this series and homestand, it’s Jeremy Guthrie (3-10, 4.77) vs. Brandon Morrow (5-6, 4.86).
