Hey, Orioles fans! Welcome to the season debut of Yard Work.
If you followed along last season, thanks for tuning in. And if you’re new to the podcast this year, MASNsports.com Orioles beat writer Steve Melewski will be joined by MASN editor Brian Eller to bring you Orioles news and insights each Wednesday throughout the season.
We’re already a week into the season, and for the Birds, it’s another successful start. The Orioles sit atop the American League East through six games while hitters and pitchers are still getting into regular season form.

As for this week’s episode, Steve and Brian will look back at the season’s opening week, which featured a sweep of the Blue Jays, a series win over the Yankees and outstanding performances by some of the brightest stars on the roster.
Also on tap, Steve and Brian will dive into the O’s bullpen. It’s touted as one of the league’s top units, but did Sunday’s slipup mean trouble ahead for the relievers? And just how long can closer Zach Britton’s consecutive save streak last?
There’s plenty of that and more on the first episode of the 2017 season of Yard Work. Be sure to download this week’s episode below on SoundCloud, or you can subscribe to Yard Work on iTunes.
Note: The Yard Work podcast will be recorded each week; therefore, all Orioles records and statistics will be current at time of recording, but may be different when podcast is downloaded. Please don’t hold that against us!
