Davies, 22, is 3-4 with a 2.94 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for Norfolk this season. His ERA ranks fourth among Orioles minor leaguers and eighth in the International League.

Davies, who’s allowed three runs or fewer in 12 of his 14 appearances, is the youngest player on the Tides roster and the seventh-youngest player in the International League.

The Orioles selected Davies in the 26th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of Mesquite (Az.) High School. He’s rated as the No. 6 prospect in the Orioles organization by Baseball America and No. 8 by MLB.com.

Major League Baseball, in conjunction with its scouting bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 teams, were responsible for choosing the 25 players on each Futures Game club.
