In 118 games, Esposito paced all Carolina League third baseman in fielding percentage (.960), putouts (83) and assists (257) and finished tied for the lead in double plays (19). He didn’t commit an error through his first 38 games.

Esposito batted .272/.301/.417 with 31 doubles, five triples, nine home runs and 50 RBIs in 470 at-bats. He collected six hits over his last three games and nine hits over his last six.

Esposito batted .320 over his final 67 games, but he’s being honored for his defense.

No, the Orioles won’t add him to their Division Series roster. Too soon.
