SAN DIEGO – Triple-A Norfolk catcher Audry Perez was named to the International League’s All-Star team, the latest honor bestowed upon the organization’s backstops.

Still worried about the Orioles’ catching depth?
Pérez is batting .307 with nine doubles, five home runs and 26 RBIs in 53 games for the Tides. He needs three more plate appearances to qualify among the league leaders in average. He’d rank sixth.
Perez has thrown out 25.5 percent of runners attempting to steal. He’s hitting .370 on the road.

The Orioles acquired Perez from the Rockies on March 31, 2015 and re-signed him to a minor league deal on Nov. 24, 2015. Orioles manager Buck Showalter has complimented Perez for his work behind the plate.
Perez is the fourth Tides catcher to make an IL All-Star team since they became an Orioles affiliate in 2007, joining Steve Clevenger (2015), Omir Santos (2008) and J.R. House (2007).
Meanwhile, the Orioles are listing Chris Tillman, Kevin Gausman, Tyler Wilson and TBD as the starters for the four-game series against the Mariners that begins Thursday night in Seattle. Ubaldo Jimenez’s turn falls on Sunday.
The Mariners are listing Taijuan Walker, Wade LeBlanc, James Paxton and Hisashi Iwakuma as their starters.
Major League Baseball has made a scoring change in the June 17 game against the Blue Jays.
In the bottom of the first inning, Hyun Soo Kim reached base on what was originally scored an infield single. The play has been changed to a fielding error by first baseman Justin Smoak, resulting in an unearned run. Kim is now 1-for-4 in the game.
