Stockstill will be the fourth candidate interviewed, and the first from within the organization, following Jerry Dipoto, Tony LaCava and De Jon Watson. It’s possible that Rangers assistant GM Thad Levine is contacted after the World Series.

Stockstill will be the fourth candidate interviewed, and the first from within the organization, following Jerry Dipoto, Tony LaCava and De Jon Watson. It’s possible that Rangers assistant GM Thad Levine is contacted after the World Series.

Stockstill, 51, has been with the Orioles for six seasons. He served as director of international scouting before changing titles with his brother, David, in April 2010. He recently returned from a scouting trip to Japan.

Before joining the Orioles, Stockstill had spent his entire professional baseball career in the Cubs organization. He served as their coordinator of scouting, national crosschecker and director of scouting.
