A night of firsts for Jonathan Schoop

Stating that Jonathan Schoop had a good night would be an understatement.
As one of the Orioles’ top prospects, Schoop was brought up in early September. Tonight, Buck Showalter mixed up the lineup, giving Schoop the start at second base and setting him up to play in his FIRST major league game.
From there, the firsts just kept on comin’.
In his FIRST major league at-bat, he got his FIRST hit, a line-drive single to center field.
In his third at-bat, Schoop blasted a no-doubter into…Stating that Jonathan Schoop had a good night would be an understatement.

To cap off the night, during Schoop’s FIRST postgame interview, he got hit with his FIRST celebratory pie. While wiping the whip cream from his face, Schoop was greeted with a second helping.
Let’s just say it probably won’t be his last.
