SARASOTA, Fla. – I apologize for the lateness of this intrasquad update, but I’m having more laptop issues – and this one is brand new – and I’m unable to tweet on my iPhone inside the stadium. A Twitter glitch, I suppose.
Anyway, here are a few highlights and lowlights. I’ll try to file quotes later.

Anyway, here are a few highlights and lowlights. I’ll try to file quotes later.
Dylan Bundy was outstanding in his debut, striking out Adam Jones and Mark Reynolds looking and retiring Matt Wieters on a lazy fly ball to right field. He threw Jones fastballs away for the entire at-bat.
“That (guy) is going to be as good as he wants to be,” Jones said. “What’s that saying? The sky’s the limit? It’s just a matter of what he wants to do. He’s got great stuff. My prediction is he’ll blow by the minors and be in the majors in a couple of years.”
Wei-Yin Chen wasn’t as good today. He was removed after two-thirds of an inning and 31 pitches (my unofficial count.) He allowed one run and two hits, walked one and struck out one.
J.J. Hardy homered off Armando Galarraga to tie the game in the bottom of the first, and he singled in the third off Pat Neshek. Steve Tolleson launched a two-run homer off Oliver Drake in the fourth inning.
Nick Johnson singled in his first two trips to the plate.
Chris Tillman tossed a scoreless second, but he walked a batter and went to a full count twice. He threw 22 pitches, 12 for strikes.
