Brian Matusz (intercostal) and Chris Jakubauskas (groin) will throw full bullpen sessions tomorrow.
Matusz threw off the front of the mound yesterday and said he’s pain-free and simply trying to build up his arm. Jakubauskas threw in the bullpen this week, but he didn’t use all of his pitches, so tomorrow represents his first regular session.

Both pitchers will have to go on injury rehab assignments. Matusz will report to the minor league complex this weekend while the Orioles are in Chicago. He might pitch in only one extended spring training game before joining an affiliate.
Shortstop J.J. Hardy (oblique) is a little sore today after increasing the intensity of his baseball activities yesterday, so he had a lighter workout down in Sarasota. Nothing unusual.
Asked if it’s a setback, Showalter replied, “It wasn’t worded that way to me.”
Justin Duchscherer (hip) has been throwing off a mound at the minor league complex and told pitching coach Mark Connor via phone that he feels good and should be ready to come off the disabled list when eligible on May 30.
Chris Tillman (groin) threw a bullpen session today and remains listed as Saturday’s starter.
Cesar Izturis caught Tillman in the ‘pen, and Showalter confirmed that the veteran infielder is an emergency catcher. However, Showalter wouldn’t refer to Izturis as the third catcher, so I guess it would have to be one heck of an emergency.
