“Physically, I felt great. No problems pitching at all. Good to go,” he said.

The rest of his schedule remains unclear.

“I don’t know where we’re going from here,” he said. “I haven’t talked to anybody yet.”

Nolan Reimold is still expected to play left field Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers. He continues with a throwing progression to test his right shoulder, and he keeps passing every test.

“I felt good yesterday,” he said. “It was warm and my arm was loose and it felt good. The plan is to take infield on Tuesday and possibly play in the field.

“I’ve been gradually throwing hard and moving further and stuff, like on a throwing progression, and it’s feeling a lot better.”

Asked if it’s a relief to be this close to getting back on the field, Reimold said, “Not really a relief. I knew it was going to be fine eventually. I didn’t have any signs of a torn labrum or something real serious. The diagnosis from the beginning seemed to be dead arm and I’ve just been stretching it and getting it stronger and getting ready to go.”

Danny Valencia was diagnosed with patella tendinitis after an MRI came back clean. He continues to play and contributed an RBI double yesterday in Dunedin.

Valencia said the discomfort first surfaced on March 11 while the Orioles were in Bradenton, “but it’s not a big deal at all.”

“I think it’s more mental than anything now,” he added. “You have that thought in your head that maybe there’s something wrong, but it feels fine now. I’m good. It was just precautionary.”
