MINNESOTA – Trey Mancini is on the bench today and Jace Peterson is in left field as the Orioles continue their series against the Twins.
Peterson is batting ninth. Tim Beckham continues to lead off.
Danny Valencia is in right field and Chance Sisco is behind the plate.
Kevin Gausman makes his second start against the Twins this season. He allowed six runs and seven hits over four innings on April 1. Brian Dozier, Miguel Sanó and Eduardo Escobar hit home runs.

Kevin Gausman makes his second start against the Twins this season. He allowed six runs and seven hits over four innings on April 1. Brian Dozier, Miguel Sanó and Eduardo Escobar hit home runs.
In his last four starts, Gausman has allowed seven runs in 25 2/3 innings and lowered his ERA to 4.05. He’s 0-3 with a 7.59 ERA and 1.344 WHIP in six career starts against the Twins over 32 innings, and 0-1 with a 9.88 ERA and 1.756 WHIP in three starts at Target Field over 13 2/3 innings.
Joe Mauer is 6-for-12 with two doubles and a triple against Gausman.
Kyle Gibson made his first start of the season at Camden Yards and tossed six hitless innings with five walks. He’s 3-2 with a 5.06 ERA and 1.688 WHIP in eight career starts against the Orioles, covering 42 2/3 innings.
Adam Jones is 5-for-22 (.227), but he has a double and four home runs off Gibson.
Gibson is 0-4 with a 4.53 ERA and 1.511 WHIP in eight home starts this season, and 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA and 1.105 WHIP in nine road starts.
Caleb Joseph last night had his first three-hit game since July 2, 2017, versus the Rays.
Manny Machado has hit safely in 16 of 18 games in Minnesota, posting a .421 average (32-for-76).
