Orioles manager Brandon Hyde was left with some interesting lineup decisions today based on the Red Sox starting left-hander Chris Sale in the series finale.
Chris Davis is 2-for-22 with nine strikeouts lifetime against Sale, Joey Rickard is 2-for-16 and Jonathan Villar is 2-for-12 with nine strikeouts.
Hyde kept Villar in the lineup and is leading him off as usual. Rickard is batting second and playing right field. Davis is on the bench, with Trey Mancini replacing him at first base.

Andrew Cashner is making his second start against the Red Sox. He faced them on April 13 in Boston and allowed three runs with three hits and three walks in five innings. Christian Vázquez hit a two-run homer.
Xander Bogaerts is 3-for-8 with a home run against Cashner.
Sale is 1-5 with a 5.25 ERA and 1.278 WHIP in seven starts this season. He tossed six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in his most recent outing against the White Sox.
Sale has gone 7-2 with a 2.69 ERA and 1.130 WHIP in 18 career appearances (12 starts) against the Orioles and he’s averaging 12.7 strikeouts per nine innings. He’s 6-1 with a 1.97 ERA and 1.093 WHIP in 50 1/3 innings at Camden Yards, with 11 runs allowed and 71 strikeouts.
Mancini is 7-for-19 with two doubles and a triple.
