Snyder obviously is fine after being hit on the left knee last night and leaving the game for a pinch-runner. And Pie returns to the lineup after tweaking his left quad on Thursday.
Update: Snyder said the pitch from Pittsburgh’s Ramon Aguero hit him more squarely in the quad than his knee, “which is good.”
“My knee’s fine. And I have a funny story to tell,” he said.
Snyder said his leg gave out as he tried to take his first step, but it quickly felt better and he could have stayed in the game. Manager Dave Trembley removed him as a precaution.
