They all begin their 120 game seasons on Tuesday. The rosters, as always, are subject to last-minute changes and the opening day rosters will be announced…

Today, we have the Orioles’ break-camp rosters for their four full-season affiliates at Triple-A Norfolk, Double-A Bowie, high Single-A Aberdeen and low Single-A Delmarva. They all begin their 120 game seasons on Tuesday. The rosters, as always, are subject to last-minute changes and the opening day rosters will be announced Tuesday.

Norfolk will open on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. at Jacksonville, Bowie opens at Altoona at 6 p.m., Aberdeen opens at Wilmington at 7:05 p.m. and Delmarva will host Salem at 7:05 p.m.

Triple-A and Double-A rosters are set for 28 players this year, although Triple-A clubs can essentially have 33, allowing for as many as five to be gone at various times as part of the big league club’s taxi squad. The Triple-A clubs must designate 28 players to be active for each game. The roster limit for A-ball teams is 30.

Grayson Rodriguez will start at Aberdeen. Three of the O’s six 2020 draft picks will begin the year at Delmarva, as will Gunnar Henderson.

O’s pitching prospect Mike Baumann is not on a roster right now. Baumann, ranked as the Orioles’ No. 8 prospect both by Baseball America and MLBPipeline.com, remains in Sarasota and we should get more clarity on his status early next week. He was shut down at the alternate site late last August with a right flexor strain, but he was pitching at spring training.

He went 7-6 with a 2.98 ERA in 2019 between then Single-A Frederick and Bowie. When the 2019 season ended, Baumann and Rodriguez shared the Jim Palmer Award as the O’s co-Pitchers of the Year on the farm.

The Orioles will maintain an extended spring training roster of about 60 players in Florida. This group will be available to provide any additions that the full-season clubs may need and some of these players will later be part of the two teams and rosters the Orioles will field at the Rookie level that starts in late June known formerly as the Gulf Coast League.
