McFarland, 25, is 4-2 with a 3.07 ERA in 23 games (one start) for the Orioles this season. He worked 3 2/3 scoreless innings over the past two games, earning the win yesterday after striking out two Mariners in the ninth inning.
Guilmet, 27, has allowed six earned runs in 10 1/3 innings in 10 games with the Orioles this season, walking two and striking out 12. He’s 4-1 with a 4.72 ERA in 29 games with Norfolk.
In his most recent appearance with the Tides, Guilmet allowed two runs and three hits in two innings Saturday night at Columbus.
The Orioles have optioned Guilmet five times this season, and they’re likely to make it a half-dozen on Thursday.
