Alex Cobb will try to extend his streak of quality starts to seven. His ERA has dropped from 6.17 to 5.00.

The streak began after Cobb lasted five innings on July 21 at Rogers Centre and allowed one earned run (four total) over five innings. Cobb also faced the Blue Jays on June 10 in Toronto and surrendered nine runs and 11 hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Cobb is 3-5 with a 4.34 ERA and 1.232 WHIP in 10 career starts against the Jays. Curtis Granderson is 5-for-15 with two doubles and a home run against Cobb. Justin Smoak is 0-for-15 with six strikeouts.

Borucki has a 2.59 ERA and 1.309 WHIP in five home starts and a 5.86 ERA and 1.771 WHIP in six road starts. He hasn’t faced the Orioles.

The Orioles are trying to complete their first three-game sweep of 2018.

Josh Rogers was the 53rd player and 27th pitcher used by the Orioles this season. The 53 players rank second in club history behind the 54 used in 1955. The 2012 and 2013 teams each used 52.

The 27-pitchers mark matches those of the 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2016 teams for the club record.
