Chris Davis is batting sixth tonight. Jace Peterson continues to lead off.

Andrew Cashner started at Yankee Stadium on April 5, his second game as an Oriole, and allowed only one run and two hits in six innings. Aaron Judge homered in the sixth.

Cashner owns a career 1.73 ERA and 0.962 WHIP in four career starts against the Yankees. Brett Gardner and Neil Walker are 2-for-11 against him and Giancarlo Stanton is 1-for-10.

Gray has made 10 starts this season and posted a 5.98 ERA and 1.711 WHIP in 49 2/3 innings. He’s averaging a career-high 5.1 walks per nine innings.

After holding the Royals to one run over eight innings on May 20, Gray faced the Angels at home and allowed five runs and seven hits in 3 2/3. His first win came against the Orioles on April 7 after he surrendered three runs in six innings.

Gray is 3-4 with a 5.15 ERA and 1.445 WHIP in seven career starts against the Orioles and 1-3 with a 5.40 ERA and 1.750 WHIP in four starts at Camden Yards. Adam Jones is 5-for-17 with a double and home run against him.

On this date in 1975, left-hander Mike Cuellar threw the last of his three one-hitters for the Orioles in a 1-0 win over the Angels in Anaheim. Bruce Bochte’s single in the fourth inning was the lone hit off Cuellar. Brooks Robinson hit his first home run to provide all of the scoring.

The game lasted 1 hour, 46 minutes. Don’t expect the same thing to happen tonight.
