Simon reinstated from restricted list, Bell sent to Triple-A

The Orioles today announced that they have reinstated right-hander Alfredo Simon from the Restricted List and optioned infielder Josh Bell to Triple-A Norfolk. Additionally, second baseman Brian Roberts has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Simon on the 40-man roster.
Simon, 30, is 2-2 with a 4.36 ERA in nine games (two starts) for the Orioles this season.
Bell, 24, singled and scored in last night’s game.
