Dylan Beavers underwent an MRI this morning on his right oblique and the club is reviewing the results.

“Should hear something here in probably the next half or so,” said manager Craig Albernaz.

Beavers would become the 19th different Orioles player to land on the IL this season if he’s sidelined. The current total is up to 12, including left-hander Grant Wolfram yesterday with a lower-back strain.

Albernaz said Beavers felt some discomfort in his side yesterday while swinging in the cage.

Dr. Neal ElAttrache examined Jordan Westburg’s right elbow Monday in Los Angeles and the infielder, his agent and “support” are reviewing his options and figuring out the next step, Albernaz said.

Surgery to repair a slightly torn ulnar collateral ligament obviously is a consideration.

Westburg received a platelet-rich plasma injection in spring training, but he was shut down recently due to pain in the elbow after intensifying his progression.

Injuries keep stalling Westburg’s career, including a sore oblique in February.

“Yeah, it sucks,” Albernaz said. “I feel for him. I feel for all of our guys who get hurt. You see the work they put in every day during the season, spring training, the offseason work they put in, and in Jordan’s case it’s the oblique, then it was the arm and rehabbing the arm. It’s a lot, especially for him.

“Talking with him, he’s hanging in there best he could, but also, it weighs on you. You want to be out here competing, being with the boys, playing the game he loves, and he’s just hamstrung by this right now. So yeah, it sucks. I feel for him.”

The Orioles will try to win the series this afternoon and improve their record to 4-2 in rubber matches.

Coby Mayo is the designated hitter, Weston Wilson is at third base and Blaze Alexander is at second. Leody Taveras is in center field.

Kyle Bradish is 1-5 with a 4.83 ERA and 1.659 WHIP in eight starts. He allowed three runs and struck out 10 batters in seven innings against the Athletics on Friday. In the previous start, he faced the Yankees and allowed five runs and six hits in four innings.

Aaron Judge is 1-for-11 with four walks and five strikeouts.

Left-handers are batting .154 against Bradish’s slider, but right-handers have posted a .364 average.

The Orioles have scored six runs or fewer in six straight games.

The Orioles improved to 1-9 against left-handed starters and today they get a rematch with Max Fried, who faced them in the Bronx and allowed three runs and six hits with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Fried’s ERA was 2.09 on April 27, but he’s surrendered eight runs and 12 hits in 11 1/3 innings in his last two starts to increase it to 2.91.
