Jones’ .386 average in day games is the best in the majors among players with 25 or more games played.

Chris Davis leads the majors in homers (14) and RBIs (42) in day games and Jones is fourth in homers (12) and tied for second in RBIs (36).

Davis is batting .514 (19-for-37) in interleague games this year. According to STATS, Davis could become the second player ever to hit .500 or better in interleague games in a single season, with a minimum of 35 plate appearances. Kansas City’s Joe Randa hit .508 in 1999.

Matt Wieters is in a 2-for-31 slump.

The Orioles are 18-20 in day games, but they have a 13-8 record on the road.

Manny Machado’s error last night was only the 34th for the Orioles this season. They were on pace to commit 48. The major league record in a 162-game season is 65 by the 2003 Mariners.
