Austin Hays is batting sixth after collecting two hits last night to break an 0-for-15 streak. Renato Núñez is the third baseman again while Rio Ruiz remains day-to-day with inflammation in his shoulder.
Dwight Smith Jr. is the left fielder. DJ Stewart goes to the bench while 0-for-14 with eight strikeouts.
Chance Sisco is behind the plate for Alex Cobb.
Marlins right-hander Elieser Hernández is making his first start of 2020 after registering a 5.03 ERA and 1.239 WHIP last summer in 21 games. He averaged 9.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
Hernández has made 21 career appearances on the road and gone 0-5 with a 7.12 ERA and 1.648 WHIP in 60 2/3 innings. He’s 5-7 with a 3.71 ERA and 1.111 WHIP in 32 games at home.
Pedro Severino is the only Oriole to face Hernández, going 2-for-4 with a home run. But he’s on the bench today.

Means left the club last season to spend a week with his father, Alan, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
