The Orioles have announced that they recalled INF Josh Bell from Triple-A Norfolk.
Bell, 23, was batting .266 (76-286) with 10 home runs and 44 RBI in 74 games for the Tides. He made his major league debut for the Orioles on July 1, and batted .200 (3-15) in five games.
The Orioles today announced that they have placed CA Matt Wieters on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring, retroactive to July 10.
Wieters, 24, has batted .245 (66-269) with six home runs and 29 RBI in 77 games for the Orioles.
A corresponding roster move will be announced tomorrow.

The Washington Nationals today recalled outfielder Justin Maxwell from Syracuse of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Senior Vice President & General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.
