Veteran Washington, D.C., baseball journalist Mark Zuckerman has joined MASNsports.com as the site's Washington Nationals beat writer. He will be responsible for day-to-day coverage of the Nationals, beginning this week at spring training in Viera, Fla., and will appear regularly on MASN programming.

"Mark has covered the Nationals since their inception and will bring both a unique perspective and an unmatched breadth of knowledge to MASNsports.com readers and MASN viewers."
Zuckerman most recently provided Nationals coverage from 2010-15 at Comcast SportsNet, where he wrote for affiliated websites and co-hosted a weekly baseball program. He previously wrote for The Washington Times from 2001-09, covering the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins and Nationals. Zuckerman also worked at the Arizona Republic (1998) and Corpus Christi Caller-Times (1998-2001).
A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Zuckerman has been a voter for the National Baseball Hall of Fame since 2011 and currently serves as president of the Baltimore/Washington chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. He has covered seven World Series, 12 Major League Baseball All-Star Games and two NCAA Final Fours, as well as the Super Bowl, NBA finals and BCS National Championship.
A native of Pittsburgh who was raised in Scottsdale, Ariz., Zuckerman currently resides in Centreville with his wife and son.
