At MASN, we love talking baseball. And we love being the best source of news and information for you, the fans.
Part of meeting that demand is developing new ways to deliver baseball content in exciting and interesting formats. So in light of that challenge, we've hopped on board with one of the most popular forms of media.
You guessed it, we've entered the world of podcasts.
Starting today, and every week throughout the 2016 season, you'll be able to download the Yard Work podcast featuring...
Darren O'Day was so confident today that he struck out J.D. Martinez to end the top of the eighth inning, he took a couple of small steps toward the Orioles dugout while waiting for confirmation.
First base umpire Mark Wegner, on the appeal, ruled that Martinez checked his swing. Two pitches later, the Tigers had the lead.
Martinez and Miguel Cabrera hit back-to-back home runs off O'Day, who's been scored upon in only two of his 17 appearances. He allowed only one homer before today.

The Orioles entered today's eighth inning with a record of 17-1 when leading after seven innings. But they could not add to that or extend their seven-game win streak.
Detroit's J.D. Martinez and Miguel Cabrera hit back-to-back solo homers off Darren O'Day in the eighth as Detroit rallied for a 6-5 win over the Orioles this afternoon. Looking for their first eight-game win streak since April 22-May 1, 2005, the Orioles were instead dealt one tough loss.
They fall to 23-13 overall and to 16-6...
Jose Fernandez beat the Nationals with his arm and his bat Sunday.
Fernandez threw seven innings, allowing only one run, and provided a huge two-run single with the bases loaded that put the game out of reach.
The Marlins won 5-1, splitting the four-game set.
Fernandez got some early assistance from the Nationals defense.
With two outs and two men on in the third inning, Martin Prado's infield pop-up was dropped by Stephen Drew as he battled the bright sunshine, allowing both runs to score and...
The Sun Monster has claimed its share of victims at Nationals Park over the years, most memorably Bryce Harper (who coined the scary-sounding term after losing a fly ball in the sun during his rookie season in 2012).
This afternoon, it reared its ugly head again and found a new victim at a most inopportune moment: Stephen Drew.
Drew couldn't see a routine popup to second base with two outs in the third inning, ultimately letting the ball bounce off his glove as two Marlins baserunners came...
Still no word on whether a club has claimed Jimmy Paredes off waivers from the Orioles.
I've heard that they should know because it's after 1 p.m. I've also heard they won't find out until Monday.
It would be appropriate for news to break on the off-day. I'm still scarred from all of the medical updates during the last off-day.
By declining to put Paredes on the 25-man roster, the Orioles continue to limit their player moves as we've reached the middle of May.
Yovani Gallardo was placed...
Two Nationals regulars are out of the lineup for today's series finale against the Marlins. One was planned, one was a last-minute change.
Jayson Werth is sitting out this game, most likely a byproduct of his longstanding struggles against Jose Fernandez. (Werth is 1-for-16 in his career against the Miami ace.)
That means Clint Robinson (who is 2-for-3 with a homer vs. Fernandez) gets the start in left field today, his first appearance in the outfield in any game so far this season.
Robinson,...
The Orioles aren't required to remove Jimmy Paredes from his injury rehab assignment until Monday. However, it appears that a decision has been made on his status.
Paredes has been placed on waivers, according to an industry source. The club thus far hasn't found any takers.
Manager Buck Showalter said this morning that he wasn't going to divulge the plan.
"Everybody knows, but I'm not ... That would be a good question for Dan (Duquette)," Showalter said.
Paredes is 8-for-24 with Triple-A...
The Orioles today look for their first four-game home sweep of the Detroit Tigers since April 17-20, 1992. They also look for a season-high eight-game winning streak. If they get the win, it will be the O's first eight-game winning streak since April 22-May 1, 2005.
Kevin Gausman (0-1, 2.16 ERA) makes his fifth start of 2016 today, looking for his first win, and pitches against Detroit right-hander Michael Fulmer (2-1, 6.00 ERA).
Gausman's lack of wins has not been because he has pitched...
Pedro Alvarez remains at third base and Nolan Reimold gets the start in left field, as the Orioles attempt to complete a four-game sweep of the Tigers.
Jonathan Schoop moves up to sixth in the order after his two-homer, five-RBI night.
A win today would extend the Orioles' streak to a season-high eight games.
