The Orioles today announced that they have recalled right-hander Chris Jakubauskas from Triple-A Norfolk. Jakubauskas, 27, has appeared in four games for the Orioles this year, posting a 7.59 ERA (10.2IP, 9ER). In five starts for Norfolk, Jakubauskas was 0-1 with a 4.05 ERA (20.0IP, 9ER).

Center fielder Adam Jones told reporters yesterday that his sore shoulder wasn't going to force him onto the disabled list and he expected to play today against the Mariners at Safeco Field. If he needs added incentive, Jones went 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles, a triple, five RBIs, and a walk against his former team during a May 10-12 series at Camden Yards. When the Orioles scored four runs in the top of the fifth today it looked like the club might pick up a rare win at Oakland and give Zach Britton his first win since May 1. But the good vibes didn't last long.
