Orioles claim infielder Andy Wilkins off waivers

The Orioles announced today that they claimed infielder Andy Wilkins off waivers from the Dodgers and designated left-hander Cesar Cabral for assignment.

The 40-man roster was full. Cabral's removal creates a spot for Wilkins, a left-handed hitter who has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk.

The Dodgers purchased Wilkins' contract from the Blue Jays in May.
