Down on the farm, Jake Arrieta allowed one run and seven hits in seven innings and Dennis Sarfate picked up his first save in Triple-A Norfolk's 2-1 victory over Rochester.
Arrieta walked two and struck out six. He threw 112 pitches, 70 for strikes, and lowered his ERA to 1.86.
Kam Mickolio struck out two in a perfect eighth. Sarfate allowed a hit, walked a batter and struck out two in the ninth.
