Out and about with the Birds

Not only do the Birds return to Baltimore for a seven-game homestand against Seattle and Texas next week, but you'll have a handful of opportunities to see some of your favorite Orioles out in the community. Jeremy-Guthrie-with-young-fan.jpg Jeremy Guthrie will kick off the community appearances next week by visiting the Official Orioles Team Store in the York Galleria Mall on Tuesday, August 17. Guthrie will meet with fans and sign autographs from noon to 1:00 p.m., so don't miss your chance to meet the O's right-hander over your lunch hour on Tuesday. Next up is Ty Wigginton, who will also spend the lunch hour with O's fans. Wigginton will be at the Hightopps Backstage Grille on York Road in Timonium on Wednesday, August 18 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Wiggy will sign autographs and answer questions from O's fans during a Q&A session emceed by MASN's Jim Hunter on Wednesday, so bring along your questions for the O's 2010 All-Star representative. And finally, Brian Roberts will take you through the end of the weekend with his Fifth Annual Brian's Baseball Bash from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. The annual fundraiser for the University of Maryland Hospital for Children will be held at the Dave and Buster's in the Arundel Mills Mall and will include the usual silent and live auctions of sports memorabilia, as well as a guest list full of your favorite Orioles.
