He's allowed a run and five hits in four innings, with one walk and two strikeouts. Dennis Sarfate has pitched in 14 games in Mexico, going 1-1 with a 3.50 ERA and seven saves over 18 innings. He's permitted 14 hits, walked three and struck out 20, and opponents are batting .209 against him. He's also surrendered four home runs. Left-hander Chris Waters, also pitching in Mexico, is 3-1 with a 3.98 ERA in seven starts. He's allowed 32 hits in 40 2/3 innings, with 18 walks and 28 strikeouts. He's surrendered seven home runs. Liz, Gabino, Sarfate and Waters aren't assured of reporting to Sarasota, Fla. in February. They're still vulnerable once the Orioles start clearing room on the 40-man roster.
