Left-hander Chris Waters, also pitching in Mexico, is 3-1 with a 3.98 ERA in seven starts. He's allowed 32 hits in 40 2/3 innings, with 18 walks and 28 strikeouts. He's surrendered seven home runs. Liz, Gabino, Sarfate and Waters aren't assured of reporting to Sarasota, Fla. in February. They're still vulnerable once the Orioles start clearing room on the 40-man roster.
