The Washington Nationals today released their 32-game 2012 spring training schedule, which features 15 home games at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla, including a March 15 afternoon matchup with the New York Yankees.
The Nationals host the Astros on Sunday, March 4 to commence the home portion of the 2012 spring schedule. Washington's initial Grapefruit League contest comes one day earlier via a March 3 visit to play the Astros in nearby Kissimmee, Fla.
The March 15 visit from the Yankees caps a stretch of three-games-in-four days at Space Coast Stadium, as the Nationals first host the World Champion Cardinals (1:05 p.m.) and Tigers (6:05 p.m.) on Monday and Tuesday, March 12 and 13, respectively. In between, on Wednesday, March 14, the Nationals trek west to the Disney complex to face Atlanta.
Spring training season tickets are already on sale. Season ticket pricing begins as low as $255 and includes all 15 home openings, including the Yankees' visit on March 15.
Individual-game tickets for the Nationals' 15-game 2012 Grapefruit League slate will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Space Coast Stadium Box Office, by visiting nationals.com or by calling 888.632.NATS (6287). Tickets to the March 15 Nationals-Yankees game are subject to availability, prime game pricing and are limited to four tickets per order/customer.
Beginning Tuesday, January 17, three-game Flex Plans will be available exclusively at nationals.com. Fans have the opportunity to purchase tickets for any three games on the Nationals' 2012 Spring Training home schedule, including the March 15 Nationals-Yankees game, starting as low as $33 per plan (limit four tickets per Flex Plan order).
