Nationals Dream Foundation Classic

On Saturday, baseball returns to D.C. in an exhibition game between the Nationals and the Red Sox. The team has plenty in store for fans, and especially season ticket holders, for this special game which benefits the organization's philanthropic efforts in the local community. Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day begins at 11:45 a.m. with player photo stations throughout the ballpark. At 12:45 p.m., Jim Riggleman will host a town hall discussion with fans. When the gates open at 1:30 p.m., fans can enjoy batting practice from the lower bowl. Pregame ceremonies begin at 3:50 p.m. with Mayor Adrian Fenty, Council Chairman Vincent Gray and other local elected officials. Mayor Fenty will toss the first pitch and Duke Ellington High School for the Performing Arts Choir will sing the national anthem. Fans are also encouraged to donate new toothbrushes at the Community Desk or Dream Foundation Kiosk in Center Field. The organization is collecting new toothbrushes as part of their "Bring a Smile to Haiti" drive during April home games in partnership with Gifts In Kind International.
