Breathe, Birdland. We're one week closer to the start of spring training.

Here's what's on deck:

This week, there's been a lot of buzz surrounding Manny Machado's appearance at the Orioles' minicamp. After season-ending surgery in 2014, the third baseman explained that he's itching to get back out there.
In just 82 games this season, Machado reminded fans about his flashy, award-winning defense.
He also reminded Albert Pujols ... twice.
In the second game of the Birds' home series against the Angels, Pujols hit a grounder down the third base line. Gary Thorne's play-by-play call says...
Off-days are nice for a lot of reasons. For the Orioles today, it means resting Matt Wieters after he caught a day game after a night game and had a big day at the plate. It means a chance for the Birds to rest at home before beginning a tough series against some great pitching, including the arms of C.J. Wilson and Jered Weaver. It allows the 'pen, which has been called on often, a day to recuperate in some measure before having to face rookie sensation Mike Trout and some guy named Albert...
It may be 2015, but that doesn't mean we can't look back on the Orioles' most memorable moments from last season. On that note, let's take a look back at the best defensive play from 2014.
In case you don't already have an idea of which play I'm referring to, let me break it down for you. The Rays had runners on first and second with no outs in the sixth inning. Evan Longoria crushed a ball deep to center field, sending Adam Jones back to the wall. Jones not only reached over the fence...
It is officially the new year, Birdland. This means we are that much closer to the start of a new baseball season.
As winter weather appears to be in full swing this week, you can stay warm by reliving some Orioles magic from this past season, as well as the 2012 campaign.
Here's what's on deck this week:
Wednesday, Jan. 7, 9 a.m.: It was the bottom of the ninth on June 23, 2014, and the Orioles were trailing the White Sox 4-3 with two on and one out. Chris Davis stepped to the plate,...
Happy Holidays from the MASNsports.com staff!
As the new year approaches, we wanted to give you another opportunity to watch four of the greatest Orioles games from this past season, including all three games from the American League Division Series.
So sit back, relax, enjoy friends and family and watch some baseball!
Here's what's on deck this week:
Thursday, Dec. 25, 9 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.: Our Christmas present for you is an opportunity to watch the Orioles' playoff sweep of...
In the Orioles' search for an outfielder, they have said that they would like to re-sign Delmon Young.
Young's bat was the O's secret weapon off the bench all season, so when the Birds were down by two runs with the bases loaded in the eighth inning of Game 2 of the American League Division series, Buck Showalter decided to pinch-hit Young.
We all know what happened next. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
Watch Young's bases-clearing double in the video below and check back...
It's the final day of Winter Meetings and the Orioles have yet to make a move. Dan Duquette and the O's still have holes to fill, perhaps most evidently in the outfield.
Buck Showalter has stated that Steve Pearce currently projects as the starting right fielder. Last season, Pearce played 40 games in the outfield, recording 75 putouts and five assists while committing no errors in 271 innings.
Don't remember his skills covering the green? This week, I'm throwin' it back to one of...
Of course, Baltimore admired Nick Markakis' on-field performance year in and year out, but it was his quiet leadership and charitable work in the community that made Baltimore fall in love with him.
Just as Orioles fans began to love Markakis, the right fielder fell in love with Baltimore.
A week after making the decision to sign with the Atlanta Braves, Markakis took out a two-page ad in the Baltimore Sun to give thanks for Orioles fans and the city he calls home.

The Winter Meetings are well under way and the hot stove is certainly heating up.
While Orioles nation is focused on the future of the Birds, why not relive some of the greatest games from the last two years?
This week, we have four of the best "Orioles Classics" from 2013-14, including three walk-off wins.
Here's what's on deck this week on MASN HD:
Tuesday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m.: It was the bottom of the ninth on June 23, 2014, and the Orioles were trailing the White Sox 4-3 with two on...
Last night, Nick Markakis agreed to a four-year, $44 million deal with the Braves, ending his 11-year tenure with the Orioles organization.
There's a lot to remember when you look back at Markakis' time in Baltimore. The right fielder was a consistent force defensively and offensively, but arguably the most memorable moment of his career isn't an amazing catch or clutch home run.
After 1,352 games of wearing orange and black, Markakis had a priceless reaction when he heard "Your 2014...
This week, with the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, all will share what they give thanks for.
Orioles fans have a lot to be thankful for, including an American League East title and a an appearance in the American League Championship Series. Birds fans can also be thankful for five "Orioles Classics" airing this week on MASN HD.
This week's lineup kicks off with everyone's favorite holiday from this past season, "Clinchmas." We will also feature Eddie Murray's 500th home run game as...
Like every offseason, the Orioles starting rotation has become a primary focus. But this year is a little different than most. The O's seem to have too many starting pitchers, ending the season with six potential starters to fill five rotation spots.
With that being said, a few of the O's hurlers have been mentioned in the never-ending rumor mill of trade talks.
While Baltimore fans wait to see who stays and who goes, let's throw it back to one of the best pitching performances of 2014....
On a November Saturday night, two men entered The Abbey Burger Bistro hungry for victory. One contestant: Andrew, a cook at a local Baltimore burger joint. The other: The man who made #StayHungry a catchphrase around the city, none other than Adam Jones himself.
Andrew was chosen among many others who entered the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Fan Challenge. He tweeted a picture of his best handcrafted burger, confident that he could take down Jones in a burger-building contest. After seeing...
Last week, Orioles manager Buck Showalter was named American League Manager of the Year. While Showalter definitely deserved the award, it merely reminds many fans that the offseason has arrived.
And that means they miss the Orioles.
If you find yourself missing live baseball action, I can't really help you. I can, however, direct you to three "Orioles Classics" games airing on MASN HD this week.
Don't miss this week's "Orioles Classics":
Monday, Nov. 17, 12:30 p.m.: Catch Game 5 of the...
On Tuesday, Buck Showalter was named the American League Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers' Association of America for the third time in his career. This is far from a surprise for Orioles fans. Baltimore has had a front-row seat to watch just how much of a positive impact Showalter has made on the city and the team.
Perhaps the sweetest moment of the skipper's career in Baltimore was the night the O's clinched their first division title in 17 years. Fans got to see a rare thing...
Although the season has been over for almost two weeks, baseball fans have tried to fill the void with awards season and the opening of free agency.

The games airing include three postseason games, the Orioles' 60th anniversary special and a few more.

Tonight, the Silver Slugger Awards will be handed out to the best offensive player at each position in each league.
Nelson Cruz led the major leagues in home runs, finishing with 40 during the regular season. He also ranked fourth in RBIs with 108. With those monster stats, Cruz could walk away with a Silver Slugger tonight.
While we wait to hear if his name is called, let's take a look back on one of Cruz's most dominating offensive performances from 2014. The Orioles slugger smashed two...
